MarSensing with AquaSOM at Semana Subaquática
MarSensing will take part at the underwater diving week (Feb 27th - Mar 2nd) at the University of
Algarve with the AquaSOM underwater loudspeaker system.
A MarSensing vai participar com o Sistema de som subaquático AquaSOM na
Semana Subaquática um evento do Núcleo de Actividades
Subaquáticas (NAS) a realizar no Campus de Gambelas da Universidade do Algarve
de 27 Fevereiro até 2 de Março.

MarSensing presenting AquaSOM on the island of Madeira
In the last week of the 2011 MarSensing held underwater music
demonstrations, with the AquaSOM system, in the pools of hotels "Hotel The
Vine" and "Pestana Carlton Madeira" on the island of Madeira. These
demonstrations were made under the market agreement between the MarSensing
Lda. and MomentMassage Lda.
Na última semana de 2011 a MarSensing realizou demonstrações do sistema de
música subaquática, AquaSOM, nas piscinas dos hotéis
"Hotel The Vine" e "Pestana Carlton Madeira" na ilha da Madeira. Estas demonstrações inserem-se
no acordo de comercialização do AQUASOM entre a MarSensing Lda. e a
MomentMassage Lda.

Fórum Agricultura Florestas e Mar
On the 14th October 2011, António Silva, MarSensing consultant, took
part in the discussions at the Agriculture Forestry and Sea Forum organized by the Correio da Manhã
newspaper. The Forum had, among others, the participation of the Minister of
Agriculture, Marine, Environment and Spatial Planning, Assunção Cristas, and
the Adviser to the President of the Portuguese Republic to the affairs of
the Marine and Environmental, Tiago Pitta e Cunha.
No passado dia 14 de Outubro de 2011, António Silva, consultor da
Marsensing, esteve presente no Fórum Agricultura Florestas e Mar promovido
pelo jornal Correio da Manhã. O Fórum teve, entre outros, a participação da
Ministra da Agricultura, do Mar, do Ambiente e do Ordenamento do Território
Assunção Cristas e do Conselheiro do Presidente da Republica para os
assuntos do Mar e do Ambiente, Tiago Pitta e Cunha.

Conferência Economia do Mar
MarSensing will be one of the companies invited to present a talk about
their experience so far, in the Conference on Economy of the Sea to be held
at the University of Algarve on 12th of October. This is an initiative of
Banco Caixa Geral de Depósitos and Jornal de Negócios. Apart from
MarSensing, the conference will also include the presence of Tiago Pitta e
Cunha, Advisor of the Presidency for maritime affairs, and other small
companies within the Sea Economy.
A MarSensing será uma das empresas convidadas a apresentar a sua experiência
no âmbito da Conferência Economia do Mar que terá lugar na Universidade do
Algarve no dia 12 de Outubro próximo. Esta é uma iniciativa do Banco Caixa
Geral de Depósitos e Jornal de Negócios. Para além da MarSensing, a
conferência contará também com a presença de Tiago Pitta e Cunha, Consultor
da Presidência da República para assuntos do mar, e outras empresas da
Económia do Mar.

MarSensing at STARESO
MarSensing is participating in a workshop at STARESO - Station de Recherches Sous-marines
et Oceanographiques in Corsica. Our objective is to measure how the
Seagrass oxygen production during its daily cycle affects the
propagation of sound in the ocean. The received acoustic signal can
be analysed to infer on the oxygen production on a given
transect. We have brought 4 digitalHyd SR-1 Autonomous Hydrophone recorders for this
experiment.

A MarSensing encontra-se a participar num workshop na estação de pesquisa STARESO - Station de Recherches
Sous-marines et Oceanographiques na Corseca. O nosso objectivo é de
medir como é afectada a propagação do som no oceano
durante o ciclo diario de produção de oxigenio da Posidonia. O
sinal acustico recebido pode ser analisado para estudar a
produção de oxigenio num determinado transecto. Nos
disponibilizamos 4 hidrofones de registo autonomo digitalHyd SR-1 para esta

PLATAFORMA MAR DO ALGARVE
The Algarve Sea Platform was formally established today. Founding members
are the initial five companies - ArrifanaMar, MarSensing, Nautiber, Pedaços
de Mar, Sopromar, the University of Algarve and the cities of Faro, Olhão
and Portimão. In addition, according to the statutes, all who will join in
the next 180 days will also be considered founding members.
A Plataforma Mar do Algarve foi hoje formalmente constituída. São associados
fundadores iniciais 5 empresas - ArrifanaMar, MarSensing, Nautiber, Pedaços
de Mar, Sopromar, a Universidade do Algarve e os municípios de Faro, Olhão e
Portimão. Além destes, segundo os estatutos, serão também considerados
associados fundadores todos os que venham a aderir nos próximos 180 dias.

Lectures in Cetacean Science
MarSensing will be giving a lecture at the Conference Lecture in Cetacean
Science
titled Topics on Underwater Noise: monitoring, modeling and
instrumentation. This conference is organized by Escola de Mar and will take
place on July 25 at the Faculty of Science, University of Lisbon.
A MarSensing dará uma palestra na Conferência Lectures in Cetacean Science
com o título Tópicos em ruído subaquático:
Monitorização, modelação e instrumentação. Esta conferência é organizada pela Escola de Mar e terá
